Weekly Hog Price and Breeding Margins in China (Week 20, 2020)
I.Hog Price
This week (May. 8-15), hog price drops dramatically around the country. And the average hog price index is 26.49 CNY/kg nationwide, a decrease of 4.15 CNY/kg or 13.50% from 30.64 CNY/kg last Friday but an increase of 11.30 CNY/kg or 74.40% from 15.19 CNY/kg the corresponding period last year.

II. Breeding Margins
This week, the breeding margin of purchased piglet is 325.00 CNY per head nationwide, a decrease of 124.40 CNY/head or 14.3% from 743.29 CNY last Friday; that increases by 364.78 CNY or 917.00% from -39.78 a year earlier.
