NBS: May PPI down 3.7% y-o-y and 0.4% m-o-m
In May 2020, Producer Price Index (PPI) for manufactured goods declined by 3.7% from the corresponding period last year and 0.4% from the previous month, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. The purchasing price index for manufactured goods lowered 5.0% than a year earlier and 1.2% than a month earlier. On an average, from January to May, the PPI sank by 1.7% and the purchasing price index decreased by 1.5% from the same period last year.
