China imported about 70,000 tonnes of cotton in May, a month-on-month decrease of 54,800 tonnes and a year-on-year reduction of 108,300 tonnes; Jan-May imports totaled about 808,000 tonnes, a reduction of 210,800 from the corresponding period last year, according to data by China's General Administration of Customs.
