As oil mills sharply pick up operation rates this week (July 4-10), rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed has totaled 62,560 tonnes (imported rapeseed 62,000 tonnes and domestic rapeseed 560 tonnes), up 23,000 tonnes or 58.14% from 39,560 tonnes from last week. Meanwhile, the operation rate (capability utilization) is 12.49% this week compared to 7.9% last week, of which it is 0.21% for domestic rapeseed; and it moves higher to 30.02% this week from 18.89% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal regions. Rapeseed crush is will fall to 54,500 tonnes next week as several mills will halt production, but will increase to 67,000 tonnes that following week. Overall, due to rapeseed shortages, the crush remains at a relatively low level at present.
