With a noticeable decline in operation rates this week (July 11-17), rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed has totaled 53,560 tonnes (imported rapeseed 53,000 tonnes and domestic rapeseed 560 tonnes), down 9,000 tonnes or 14.39% from 62,560 tonnes from last week. Meanwhile, the operation rate (capability utilization) is 10.69% this week compared to 12.49% last week, of which it is 0.21% for domestic rapeseed; and it moves lower to 25.67% this week from 30.02% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal regions. The crush is predicted to increase to 67,000 tonnes both in the next two weeks. Overall, due to rapeseed shortages, the crush remains at a relatively low level at present.
