Following a noticeable decline in operation rates in coastal regions this week (Aug 1-7), rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed totals 49,560 tonnes, down 14,000 tonnes or 22.03% from 63,560 tonnes last week. Of it, imported rapeseed is 49,000 tonnes (meal 26,950 tonnes and oil 20,580 tonnes) and domestic rapeseed 560 tonnes. Meanwhile, the operation rate (capability utilization) goes down to 9.89% from 12.69% last week, of which it is 0.21% for domestic rapeseed; and it is 23.73% for imported rapeseed in coastal regions, compared to 30.51% last week. The crush is predicted to rise to 54,500 tonnes and 63,500 tonnes in the next two weeks, respectively. Overall, due to rapeseed shortages, the crush remains at a relatively low level at present.
