China imported about 310,000 tonnes of sugar in July, down 100,000 tonnes or 24.39% from 410,000 tonnes in June and down 125,100 tonnes or 28.75% from 435,100 tonne a year earlier, according to data by China's General Administration of Customs.

Jan-Jul imports totaled about 1.5528 mln tonnes, a year-on-year increase of 48,000 tonnes or 3.19% from 1.5048 mln tonnes.
