I. Hog Price
This week (August 24-28), hog price in China stops rising and starts falling. And the average price index nationwide is 36.81 CNY/kg, a decline of 0.77 CNY/kg or 2.00% versus 37.58 CNY/kg in the previous week, and an increase of 8.82 CNY/kg or 31.50% compared with 27.99 CNY/kg in the same period last year.

II. Breeding Margins
This week, the breeding margin of purchased piglet is 1517.08 CNY per head nationwide, down by 76.15 CNY or 4.80% from 1593.23 CNY last Friday and up by 197.24 CNY or 14.94% from 1319.84 CNY a year earlier.
