I. Rapeseed: stocks and port arrivals

This week (ending Aug 28), China’s rapeseed inventory totals 383,000 tonnes in coastal areas, up 15,000 tonnes or 4.08% from 368,000 tonnes last week and up 25.99% from 304,000 tonnes of the corresponding period last year. Among them, stock in Guangxi, Guangdong and Fujian is 383,000 tonnes, up 4.08% from 368,000 tonnes last week and up by 86.83% from 205,000 tonnes of the same week in the previous year.

China’s rapeseed imports are small amid a stalemate with Canada, but are centralized to only several private and foreign-funded companies. The imports will include 314,000 tonnes in August and 120,000 tonne in September. It is less likely that China and Canada will see a thaw in relations very soon, as HUAWEI Meng Wanzhou is still not released by the Canadian court, and Canada even followed the United States to make groundless sanctions on Hong Kong due to the National Security Law. Besides, China and Australia are also in souring relations. Overall, China’s rapeseed imports will remain small but not be totally interrupted.

II. Rapeseed oil stocks

This week (ending Aug 28), rapeseed oil stocks are 226,900 tonnes in domestic coastal regions, up 14,400 tonnes or 6.78% from 212,500 tonnes last week and down by 48.73% from 442,600 tonnes of the same period last year. More details for stocks:

III. Rapeseed meal stocks

This week (ending Aug 28), rapeseed meal stock has totaled 13,200 tonnes in domestic coastal regions, down 8,800 tonnes or 40% from 22,000 tonnes last week and down by 68.79% from 42,300 tonnes of the same period last year. More details for stocks:
