I. National stocks

Palm oil stocks in China this week rebound after previous decline with more palm oil boatloads arriving at ports. In the week ending August 28, edible palm oil stock totals 355,400 tonnes at domestic ports, up by 4.20% from 341,400 tonnes a week earlier; up by 65,400 tonnes or 22.55% from 290,000 tonnes the same period last month; down by 194,000 tonnes or 35.30% from 549,400 tonnes the corresponding period last year. Meanwhile, industrial palm oil stock at domestic ports amounts to 155,400 tonnes, an advance of 19,600 tonnes or 14.40% from 135,800 tonnes in the previous week.

II. Goods Arrivals

According to the latest statistics by Cofeed, China is projected to bring in 620,000 tonnes of palm oil (RBD palm olein 500,000 tonnes and industrial palm oil 120,000 tonnes) in August, unchanged with the estimate a week earlier; 600,000 tonnes in September (RBD palm olein 480,000 tonnes and industrial palm oil 120,000 tonnes), up by 30,000 tonnes from last week. And palm oil imports in October are expected to be 570,000 tonnes (RBD palm olein 450,000 tonnes and industrial palm oil 120,000 tonnes), flat from last week.
