China’s Rapeseed Crush Weekly (Week 43, 2020)

With a rise in operation rates in coastal regions this week (Oct 19-23), rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed totals 60,560 tonnes, up 9,000 tonnes or 17.46% from 51,560 tonnes last week. Of it, imported rapeseed is 60,000 tonnes (meal 33,000 tonnes and oil 25,200 tonnes) and domestic rapeseed 560 tonnes. Meanwhile, the operation rate (capability utilization) goes up to 12.09% from 10.29% last week, of which it is 0.21% for domestic rapeseed; and it is 29.06% for imported rapeseed in coastal regions, compared to 24.7% last week. The crush is predicted to be 67,000 tonnes and 50,000 tonnes in the next two weeks, respectively.
