In October 2020, China's Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) was 51.4 percent, slightly down 0.1 percent from the previous month, but it has been continuously above the threshold since March, indicating that the manufacturing industry as a whole continued to recover.

In October 2020, China’s non-manufacturing business activities index was 56.2 percent, up by 0.3 percentage point than the previous month, which was higher than the threshold for eight consecutive months, and the pace of non-manufacturing industry recovery accelerated.
