China’s Customs: Nov palm oil imports down 23.18% y/y

China imported 642,711.012 tonnes of palm oil in November, down 22,320.641 tonnes or 3.36% from 665,031.653 tonnes in the previous month and down 193,925.701 tonnes or 23.18% from 836,636.713 tonne a year earlier, according to China’s Customs.

 

Nov RBD palm olein imports took up 462,727.021 tonnes, down 60,120.133 tonnes from 522,847.154 tonnes in the previous month; palm stearin imports were 179,983.991 tonnes, up 37,799.492 tonnes from 142,184.499 tonnes in the previous month.

 

China’s palm oil imports total 5,627,693.183 tonnes from Jan to Nov this year, down 929,947.503 tonnes or 15.72% from 6,751,566.39 tonnes year over year.

 

In November, China imported 448,228.285 tonnes of palm oil from Indonesia, down 31,619.318 tonnes or 6.6% from 479,847.603 tonnes in the previous month and down 108,743.097 tonnes or 19.52% from 556,971.382 tonnes a year earlier; China imported 194,210.487 tonnes from Malaysia, up 9,329.157 tonnes or 4.8% from 184,881.33 tonnes in the previous month but down 85,426.251 tonnes or 30.55% from 279,636.738 tonnes year over year.
