I. Hog Price
This week (Jan 4-8), hog price in China is up from the previous week on the whole. And the average price index nationwide is 36.43 CNY/kg, an increase of 0.34 CNY/kg or 0.90% versus 36.09 CNY/kg last week, and a rise of 0.42 CNY/kg or 1.20% compared to 36.01 CNY/kg in the same period last year.

II. Breeding Margins
This week, the breeding margin of purchased piglet is 2086.58 CNY per head nationwide, down 42.19 CNY or 2.00% from 2128.77 CNY last Friday and up 649.63 CNY or 45.20% from 1436.95 CNY a year earlier.
