As operation rates notably decline in coastal China this week (Jan 2-8), rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed is 51,000 tonnes, down 12,000 tonnes or 19.05% from 63,000 tonnes last week. Of it, imported rapeseed is 51,000 tonnes (meal 28,050 tonnes and oil 21,420 tonnes). Meanwhile, the operation rate (capability utilization) goes down to 10.18% from 12.57% last week, of which it is 0% for domestic rapeseed; and it goes to 24.7% from 30.51% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal regions. The crush is predicted to decline to 38,000 tonnes next week as some mills suspend production, and then pick up again to 47,000 tonnes in that following week.
