Stocks of Rapeseed, Rapeseed oil and Rapeseed Meal in Coastal Areas and East China (Week 2, 2021)

I. Rapeseed: stocks and port arrivals

This week (ending Jan 15), China’s rapeseed inventory totals 315,000 tonnes in coastal areas, down 43,000 tonnes or 12.01% from 358,000 tonnes last week but up 228.13% from 96,000 tonnes of the corresponding period last year. Among them, stock in Guangxi, Guangdong and Fujian is 315,000 tonnes, down 43,000 tonnes or 12.01% from 358,000 last week but up 257.95% from 88,000 tonnes of the same week in the previous year. Rapeseed imports will include 248,000 tonnes and 180,000 tonnes from Canada in January and February respectively, according to data by Cofeed. Currently, only several private-owned and foreign-funded oil mills are making imports, and Chinese companies will make bulk imports only in the wake of a thaw between China and Canada.

This week (ending Jan 15), rapeseed oil stocks are 142,500 tonnes in domestic coastal regions, down 19,000 tonnes or 11.76% from 161,500 tonnes last week and down 52.05% from 297,200 tonnes a year earlier. More details for stocks:
