China imported about 350,000 tonnes of cotton in December 2020, up 150,000 tonnes or 75% from 200,000 tonnes in November and up 196,400 tonnes or 127.86% from 153,600 tonnes a year earlier. China’s cotton imports during December have recorded a single-month high in this year. Jan-Dec imports in 2020 totaled about 2.3515 mln tonnes, up 306,800 tonnes or 16.61% from 1.8467 mln tonnes in the same period last year, according to data by China's General Administration of Customs.
