China imported 2,254,161.37 tonnes of corn in December, up 1,028,149.67 tonnes or 83.86% from 1,226,011.71 tonnes in the previous month and up 1,520,135.97 tonnes or 207.10% from 734,025.4 tonnes a year earlier, according to China’s Customs.

Corn imports from Ukraine accounted for 1073927.83 tonnes or 47.64%, which was the largest share.

China’s corn imports total 11,294,167.56 tonnes from Jan to Dec in 2020, a year-on-year increase of of 137.74%.
