Alongside a sharp rise in operation rates in coastal China this week (Jan 16-22), rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed is 49,000 tonnes, up 6,000 tonnes or 13.95% from 43,000 tonnes last week. Of it, imported rapeseed is 49,000 tonnes (meal 26,950 tonnes and oil 21,070 tonnes). Meanwhile, the operation rate (capability utilization) goes up to 9.78% from 8.58% last week, of which it is 0% for domestic rapeseed; and it goes to 23.73% from 20.82% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal regions. As oil mills resume production, the crush is predicted to pick up to 66,500 tonnes in both next two weeks.
