With a continued rise in operation rates in coastal China this week (Jan 23-29), rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed is 65,000 tonnes, up 16,000 tonnes or 32.65% from 49,000 tonnes last week. Of it, imported rapeseed is 65,000 tonnes (meal 35,750 tonnes and oil 27,950 tonnes). Meanwhile, the operation rate (capability utilization) goes up to 12.97% from 9.78% last week, of which it is 0% for domestic rapeseed; and it goes to 31.48% from 23.73% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal regions. As oil mills resume production, the crush is predicted to pick up to 66,500 tonnes in both next two weeks.
