I. Hog Price
In the week from Feb 1 to Feb 5, China’s hog prices are plummeting compared to the previous week. And the average price index nationwide is 30.79 CNY/kg, a decrease of 2.88 CNY/kg or 8.60% versus 33.67 CNY/kg last week, and a decline of 6.81 CNY/kg or 18.10% compared to 37.60 CNY/kg in the same period last year.

II. Breeding Margins
This week, the breeding margin of purchased piglet is 1011.01 CNY per head nationwide, down 389.38 CNY or 27.80% from 1400.39 CNY last Friday and down 740.45 CNY or 42.30% from 1751.46 CNY a year earlier.
