As operation rates are notably lower among coastal regions this week (Jan 30-Feb 5), rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed is 45,000 tonnes, down 20,000 tonnes or 30.77% from 65,000 tonnes last week. Of it, imported rapeseed is 45,000 tonnes (meal 24,750 tonnes and oil 19,350 tonnes). Meanwhile, the operation rate (capability utilization) goes down to 8.98% from 12.97% last week, of which it is 0% for domestic rapeseed; and it goes to 21.79% from 31.48% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal regions. As oil mills stay in downtime during the Lunar New Year holidays, the crush is predicted to decline to 37,500 tonnes and 29,500 tonnes in the next two weeks, respectively.
