As operation rates sharply pick up in coastal China this week (Feb 27-Mar 5), rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed is 35,000 tonnes, up 10,000 tonnes or 40% from 25,000 tonnes last week. Of it, imported rapeseed is 35,000 tonnes (meal 19,250 tonnes and oil 15,050 tonnes). Meanwhile, the operation rate (capability utilization) goes up to 6.99% from 4.99% last week, of which it is 0% for domestic rapeseed; and it goes to 16.95% from 12.11% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal regions. As oil mills resume production, rapeseed crush is expected to increase to 58,500 tonnes and 65,500 tonnes in the next two weeks, respectively.
