I. Hog Price
In the week from Mar 1 to Mar 5, China’s hog prices shift to decline after a growth and basically up from the previous week. And the average price index nationwide is 29.32 CNY/kg, an increase of 1.63 CNY/kg or 5.90% versus 27.69 CNY/kg last Friday, and a decline of 7.70 CNY/kg or 20.80% compared to 37.02 CNY/kg in the same period last year.

II. Breeding Margins
This week, the breeding margin of purchased piglet is 688.71 CNY per head nationwide, up 238.04 CNY or 52.80% from 450.67 CNY in the previous week and down 861.03 CNY or 55.60% from 1549.74 CNY a year earlier.
