I. Hog Price
In the week from Mar 8 to Mar 12, China’s hog prices plummet. And the average price index nationwide is 28.06 CNY/kg, a drop of 1.26 CNY/kg or 4.30% versus 29.32 CNY/kg last Friday, and a decline of 8.91 CNY/kg or 24.10% compared to 36.97 CNY/kg in the same period last year.

II. Breeding Margins
This week, the breeding margin of purchased piglet is 526.13 CNY per head nationwide, down 162.58 CNY or 23.60% from 688.71 CNY in the previous week and down 976.39 CNY or 65.00% from 1502.52 CNY a year earlier.
