In January and February of 2021, China’s feed production totals 41.75 mln tonnes, up 20.9% on year. In terms of products, hog feed production is 20.32 mln tonnes, up 79.9% on year; egg-laying and table poultry feed production takes up 5.26 mln tonnes and 11.97 mln tonnes respectively, each down 7.8% and 15.2% on year; aquatic and ruminant feed production is 1.25 mln tonnes and 2.40 mln tonnes respectively, each up 8.9% and 31.2% on year.
In the first two months of this year, feed prices are generally higher as feedstock prices are bolstered to climb by continue uptrend in corn and soybean meal prices. Mixed batch prices climb 8.2-16.1% from a year earlier; concentrated feed prices advance 9.9-16.2% from a year earlier; and additive premix prices grow 2.5-4.7% from a year earlier.
