China’s Customs: Feb palm oil imports down 48.71% m/m

China imported 366,805.43 tonnes of palm oil in February, down 348,389 tonnes or 48.71% from 715,194.41 tonnes in the previous month and up 17,939.94 tonnes or 5.14% from 348,865.49 tonnes a year earlier, according to China’s Customs.

 

Feb RBD palm olein imports accounted for 267,900.44 tonnes, down 231,170.6 tonnes from 499,071.04 tonnes in the previous month; palm stearin imports were 98,904.99 tonnes, down 117,218.38 tonnes from 216,123.37 tonnes in the previous month.

 

China’s palm oil imports total 1,081,999.84 tonnes from Jan to Feb in 2021, up 209,836.109 tonnes or 24.06% from 872,163.731 tonnes year over year.

 

In February, China imported 288,273.33 tonnes of palm oil from Indonesia, down 277,750.44 tonnes or 49.07% from 566,023.77 tonnes in the previous month and up 107,475 tonnes or 59.44% from 180,798.36 tonnes a year earlier; China imported 78,372.63 tonnes from Malaysia, down 65,464.6 tonnes or 45.51% from 143,837.19 tonnes in the previous month and down 89,694.5 tonnes or 53.37% from 168,067.13 tonnes year over year.
