China imported 222,694.21 tonnes of crude sunflower oil in January, down 107,879.78 tonnes from December 2020 but up 149,811.73 tonnes from January 2020, according to data by China's General Administration of Customs. Meanwhile, China brought in 3,264.65 tonnes of refined sunflower oil during this month, up 2,069.86 tonnes from the previous month but down 52.39 tonnes from January 2020.
Crude sunflower oil imports totaled 134,944.1 tonnes in February, down 87,750.11 tonnes from January and down 3,951.99 tonnes from Feb 2020. And refined sunflower oil imports totaled 2,001.61 tonnes in February, down 1,263.04 tonnes from January and down 1,198.91 tonnes from Feb 2020.
During the month of January and February, crude sunflower oil imports amounted to 357,638.31 tonnes, an increase of 145,859.75 tonnes or 68.87% from a year earlier; refined sunflower oil imports totaled 5,266.26 tonnes, a decrease of 1,251.3 tonnes or 19.2% from a year earlier.
