A rise in grain prices is the result of a myriad of factors, according to the Ministry of China’s Commerce. Generally speaking, there are foundations and conditions for ensuring sufficient supply and stable operation of the domestic grain market, and the supporting conditions for the sharp rise in grain prices are not sufficient, said the ministry.
