As operation rates are further lower in coastal China this week (Mar 27-Apr 2), rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed is 54,000 tonnes, down 7,000 tonnes or 11.48% from 61,000 tonnes last week. Of it, imported rapeseed is 54,000 tonnes (meal 29700 tonnes and oil 23220 tonnes). Meanwhile, the operation rate (capability utilization) goes down to 10.78% from 12.18% last week, of which it is 0% for domestic rapeseed; and it goes to 26.15% from 29.54% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal regions. As oil mills suspend production, rapeseed crush is expected to decrease further to 53,000 tonnes and 43,000 tonnes in the next two weeks, respectively.
